SEPT 22-24
Rosh Hashana
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, marking the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Chava. On this day, we crown Hashem as King over the world and spend the day saying special prayers, asking Hashem to bless us with a sweet new year. The main mitzvah of Rosh Hashanah is to hear the Shofar. Its sound shakes us awake and reminds us to return to our true self — the part of us that is always connected to Hashem. We say prayers that speak about Hashem’s kingship, His remembrance of every person, and the power of the Shofar. Many people dip apples in honey as a sign of hope for a sweet year. Rosh Hashanah is a serious day, but also a happy one, because we know Hashem is giving us a year full of blessing. It is the beginning of the Ten Days of Repentance, a time to come closer to Hashem, leading up to Yom Kippur.

Shofar in the Park
The main mitzvah of Rosh Hashanah is to hear the Shofar. The Shofar’s sound is like a spiritual alarm clock — it wakes us up and reminds us to return to repentance, to reconnect with our true self and with Hashem. Hearing the Shofar is so central to the day that it is a mitzvah for every Jewish man, woman, and child to hear it both days of Rosh Hashanah.

That’s why we’ll be blowing Shofar in the park on both days — so everyone can fulfill this beautiful mitzvah.. Please come and join us to hear the Shofar and start the new year in the best way possible.
